What we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to opt out. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
AdverWise is a Canadian digital advertising agency (established 2017) providing Google Ads and Meta Ads management. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “AdverWise” mean AdverWise. Address: 60 Atlantic Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Email: info@adverwise.ca. Phone: (613) 620-7471.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through adverwise.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to enquiries you send us. It does not cover our clients’ own websites — each client is responsible for its own privacy policy.
gclid and Meta’s fbclid when you arrive from an ad.We use call tracking on advertising campaigns. When you call a tracked number we may collect the number you dialled, your phone number, the date, time and duration of the call, and which ad or page led to it. Where calls are recorded, you will be told at the start of the call and can ask us not to record.
When you become a client, we are given access to your advertising, analytics and tag management accounts in order to do the work. Any personal information inside those accounts remains yours — we act on your instructions as a service provider, and we do not use it for our own purposes.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels and tags work similarly. We use them for the following purposes:

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and through the opt-outs in section 12. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies will not stop you using the site.
We use Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and Google Ads (including conversion tracking and remarketing).
You can opt out of personalised Google ads at My Ad Center, and opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See also Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses data from sites that use its services.
We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (server-side) to measure the performance of our advertising and to build audiences.

We disclose personal information only:
Some of our providers store or process information outside Canada, principally in the United States. Information held in another country is subject to that country’s laws and may be accessible to its courts and authorities. Where we transfer personal information internationally we use contractual protections offered by the provider, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, give you access to it, correct it if it is wrong, or explain how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed. You may also withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the right to erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of what came before.
To exercise any of these, email info@adverwise.ca. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it or who have enquired about our services, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing message identifies us, gives our contact details, and contains a working unsubscribe link that we action within 10 business days. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@adverwise.ca.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, two-factor authentication on the accounts that hold client data, and the principle of least privilege — people get access only to what their job requires. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
Our services are sold to businesses. This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date below always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy go to info@adverwise.ca, or by post to the address in section 1. We take complaints seriously and will investigate and respond.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada — priv.gc.ca, 1-800-282-1376. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
